I have foxgloves in my back garden. They started out the usual pink/purple colour, then some white ones appeared, then some pale pink ones, probably mixed from the seeds. Now the dominant colour of my foxgloves is white

Very interesting! As a Farmer Ragwort is a real problem to us in meadows. Especially those that are mowed and turned into Hay. When Mowing, I’m always on the lookout for it and if I see some, will stop and pull it out of the ground so as not to allow any to get into a Hay or Haylage bale or into any Silage. Perhaps from now on, I’ll make sure I pull it with some gloves on!

Ive heard many people ask which plants are poisenous. My answer is always; "About 90% of what grows in your garden". And thats the truth. Not all equally poisenous of course, but poisenous none the less. From the 10 mentioned here, i have 4 for sure, probably 5 in my garden (in NL.. im dutch): Aconite, which the wind blew in some 20 years ago. It always grows back and i let it grow and flower, but it doesnt spread out much, if at all (its a bit of a rare plant). I told my children not to touch it. Digitalis aswell, which i seeded myself some 35 years ago. Seed taken from the wild, but its common here and a nice and pretty plant (same as Aconite, but this is seasonal mostly). Also easy to maintain. Euphorbia; which is so common, it grows everywhere. They can easily be pulled out when young, but still always manage to seed and theres 100s at least popping up every year. They all produce white 'milk'. My late uncle, who was a police detective, was also interested in all plant and animal life and put some of the sap on his tongue once. It tasted bitter he said and his tongue swell up a lot. Atropa. As all nightshade, poisenous, including popatoes; of which the green parts (and berries) are. When your popatoes get light on them, the peel can get green, extending inwards to the popatoe. Thats poisenous and the reason they need to be kept in the dark and the green bits cut off. Wild varieties of Atropa are common in gardens and same as potatoes, produce black berries. Also poisenous. Jacobaea. Not sure if its in my garden, but probably is. The deadlyness is a bit exagerated here. Of course, when eating it, you will be in big trouble, but its not so bad that when you just touch it that you are in trouble. I dont use gloves in the garden and just regularly touch, or pull out and get sap on me, including from Euphorbia. Nothing bad ever happened to me wrt this. A lot of this has to do with the chemicals penetrating through, or absorbed by the skin. If it can get in that way, like the first few mentioned, i do use gloves. Those were actively sought and destroyed here. Well that was 30+ years ago. Dont know if that is still the case, but i think they stil do. So even though 90% of what grows in your garden, is poisenous, it is on a scale from very dangerous to just annoying, maybe irritating a bit. And the amount you get in is of course, also always a factor. Better be safe though, not sorry.

Thanks for the great video. FYI racing bike inner tube will fit snugly on the outside of the tube. Then you can wrap the strike paper within the plastic cage at the top. Raid your partners beauty kit and slip a nail file down in with the matches for something a little more sturdy.

Thank you very much for sharing this,🌱as a forager, i I'm hoping you don't mind me pointing out that was Woody Nightshade, and not Belladonna. Oh, and Lord's and Ladies is like a Mouthful of Paper cuts!! Aged almost 60, I still Blister up from the Giant Hogweed, that I touched as a Teenager, before any Information about it was available!! Dog's Mercury is quite innocuous looking, and deserves a video of it's own, in order to identify it better. Really I Can't Thank you enough for this video!! ~As God only knows how I managed to get to my age, growing up during the 60/70s,there wasnt readily available information about Foraging.
